| ANNUAL BURRANDOWAN PICNIC RACE DAY
DINING FAST FOOD There is a great range of food available at Burrandowan – most is provided by the community organisations our region depends upon – Kingaroy Rotary, Kingaroy Lions and the Kingaroy State High School Chaplaincy Committee By supporting these groups, our race day supports people across the community. Available throughout the race day: Hot Dogs - Sandwiches - Cold Drinks - Tea/Coffee - Chocolate Slice - Muffins - Steak Burgers - Hot Chips - Cappuccino Ice creams. PIT FIRED BBQ About 5pm, once the sun begins to set and the last race has been run, the pit fired BBQ’s roar into life! Set on the eastern side of the main public area, this is where you purchase your selected meat – this year’s choice is a rump steak, T-Bone steak or sausages – and you can cook this over the flaming BBQ pits to your own liking. Cost Rump Steak $5.00 each , T-Bone Steak $6.00 each, Sausages $2.00 each All come with bread or bread roll. Purchase you BBQ tickets on the day at the races. Please ensure that you bring your own BBQ utensils, plates, cutlery, condiments and whatever else you need to make this a great BBQ feast. Kingaroy Lions and Kingaroy Rotary will also be cooking steak burgers and chips, and the cappuccino machine will be working late, and these groups will also be cooking Sunday morning breakfast for all the campers. |
